 What a year, so far. Mother Nature or Mother Earth or Gaia is suffering. Record freeze in February, volcanoes and earthquakes around the world. But Still! Flowers bloom!

 So much music and dancing in my life! Family members who danced and made music in this grand universe. What a gift! I want there to be music in my images, too. Rhythm, movement and feelings.

FRIENDS

GIRL FRIENDS, 16" x 20"

 We can't choose family as the saying goes. We can choose our friends. If one has lots of family to choose from then one can choose amongst them. Sort of edit to just the ones that work out for you, I mean family, we know so well.

This painting is named GIRLFRIENDS but there is definitely family in the mix,

 Barton Springs in Austin Texas gave rise to an organization to fight the developers and keep the pool and park alive and well. They have a storied past, those springs in this parched land. Save Our Springs, known as S.O.S., has fought to save the spring water and thus the environment around the springs.

SNEAK UP ON MYSELF

 Early morning, with hot tea, I sneak up on myself in the studio. A studio in the home can mean that nothing gets done. The time captured in a studio away, separated from bills and meals bolster many. But I like to sneak up on myself. Before the day hits.
