POLITICS? IN ART

This painting made heat when it was new. I mean some people objected to the metaphor(s).

The fellow who bought this made serious moves on me and I objected. Actually it was scary but with help I got rid of him. Then he told a close friend of mine that he had cut a big hole in this. It was 59" x 42" so my guess is that it is history. That it doesn't exist anymore. To me, it was political and philosophical image. The women, by their hairdos and outfits are Navajo, White and Hopi. Working together. Then there is the ancient art of weaving in a junk yard with a computer on the desk sampling old and new technologies, together. There are more bits. The pattern being woven and the "floor" patterns all have significance. I have made a new painting recently that is also making heat. It is titled I.C.E. DANCING WITH MIGRANTS. The migration of monarch butterflies is happening now. Autumn.
