BIZARRE PATHS

 The appearance of this page is like Blogspot used to be. Now that I am a guest, I get the pretty  and easy look to this page with more choices and icons. As a guest on this blog which is attached to an email address I no longer have access to (except temporarily) Tah-dah!

This painting I name THE MIRACLE.

BUTTERFLIES FOREVER!

An alarming statistic states that 50% of the biomass of insects on this planet has been lost, wiped out, killed since 1970. LOST! That's not so long ago. Once in the 1980's the magnificent annual monarch butterfly migration came through my yard. They were crashing into trees. A soft sound of hundreds of thousands of butterfly wings was accompanied by the fluttering of the sunlight. Now the monarch butterfly has been added to the ENDANGERED species list!! Only 10% or less of their population survives. This bug may disappear soon if we, humans, don't clean up our act. Other nifty, useful and besides beautiful bugs may disappear too. My guess is that many have already.

The album is done!! My imagery contributes to the Album as an introduction to the wonderful music! I am so honored to mive in such company!

My painting I named RHAPSODY IN BLUE after the music by George Gerschwin but also after the many, many pigments and mixes in the blues in this composition. And now it is part of a Fabulous recording! Music for the ages!

TEXAS HEAT AND WHACKY WEATHER

A new and improved painting. Actually, I keep adjusting this painting but it is nailed down now. Solved. Cured. Born. It's called TEXAS HEAT/LOST IN CODE". I do keep returning to the theme of seeing people lost in their phones, not noticing the world around them. This painting is 24" x 30" wide. For Sale. Acrylic on canvas. Leave a message!

MARVELOUS MIGRANTS AND CREATING A PAINTING

First I made a drawing then slowly progressed. I liked it but kept adding more monarchs. It is about silly limits on migrations. The planet has seasons. Following the seasons honors the Mother Earth.

BUTTERFLIES AND RIBBONS

The images that keep jumping into my compositions are ribbons and monarch butterflies. I resolve to try some other varieties of bugs but the monarch butterfly's recent promotion to ENDANGERED has inspired me.
