WALL - HANGING THE EXHIBT

What a comedy! Yesterday, rained solid all day. Low water crossings all closed. So hanging the paintings pushed back to this morning. A low tire on my art-delivery van. The tire store backed up but they aired up the tire and I have an appointment tomorrow to fix it. Loading the van, an a power outage. Only about an hour but still distracting when loading, sorting, counting. At the facility, unpacking the paintings and I've lost one. So Stuart carries on while I go back to the house and find the painting. It is sold so, really, needed to find it. John showed up and was essential to arrange the lights and assist. We got it done. I have more art hanging supplies. Tomorrow, put up the labels.
I am getting old for this physical part of arting.

BACK FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Four paintings back from the photographer. One is a repaint and 3 new ones, music related.

INVITATION TO THE DANCE is fooling around with some palette knife and layers of space, sorta.  This one I call THE FLOWERS ARE SINGING. It has some texture bits, too.

This is my favorite one so far. Swimming, dancing and playing the piano an Oh! a little red wagon!

TIES OR QUANTUM MECHANICS

A new painting, almost done but no title yet. I've been doing happy feeling paintings. Something to do with the ribbons. To me its the quantum mechanics or nudges from other planes of "realities."

I named it LIKE MUSIC UPON THE WATER. Sort of Lord Byron (I changed the word 'on' to 'upon').

Here's the practice painting of the dancing animals.

RHAPSODY IN BLUE

It's finished. I named it RHAPSODY IN BLUE, thank you, George Gershwin.
54" x 36"

I had trouble with the dancers so I stopped and did a small painting of just the dancers.
