I am exhibiting these three paintings at Mom's nursing home for a one day exhibit, Jan. 29, 2014. I swore I would not do one day exhibits but ,,,Hey...it's for Mom's place of residence.

INSTALLATION AT CERES 30TH ANNIVERSARY

Installation at Ceres shows my painting next to Susan Grabel's exquisite sculpture. What a wonderful Installation!The exhibit continues until January 31 at 547 West 27th Street, NYC!

NO BUBBLES

I added bubbles and didn't like them so took them out and tuned it up. The squiggles on the surface are all "goddess" symbols from various prehistoric cultures. The spiral from Native American and other cultures. The snake is in several old European and Mid-Eastern cultures.  The "v" from very old East Asian cultures and so on. I've named this one "Song", or maybe "Animal Magnet".

SOMERSAULTS

This one is coming along, close to done, I think. I'm thinking about naming it "I made it!"....something about surviving? 

PRACTICE MEDIUMS

Other water media includes casein and gouache. These are on Ampersand boards, small paintings.The top one is gouache then after a couple of days I sprayed it with water. I'm letting the casein painting on the bottom dry for a week or so then I will see if the paint lifts like the gouache does.
