CROCHET

Mom crocheted in her younger days. The blanket in this painting is derived from one of her creations. Her blankets were NEVER rectilinear. I've often thought that it is worth being an artist just because one gets to see the work in progress.

STARTING A PAINTING

I've just started this painting. Cleaned my palette, mixed some colors, try to catch something.

SEARCHING FOR FORM

Sitting at the nursing home, Mom said "All that stuff we have in the house...it ain't worth nothing, except the flowers." So I start to try to find a form.

Adding a little pointillism to introduce the the squiggles for viewer's contemplation. Or maybe this subject (me) is "mental."

A painting named LOVE

This painting no longer exits. I liked it but something, something.....so I changed it.

Maybe THIS....

I added an big Orange Butterfly then changed it to red.

That's it Folks! Toned down a lot of that gold on the face but still .........! No, not finished....

This painting, FAMILY, sold from The People's Gallery at City Hall and the banner painting, DANCING IN THE WOODS, sold also through Generous Art.Org! People love magic cats and dogs!
