In
1977 the vendor of Balinese batiks shared his spot at Piazza Novona (Rome) with me. I sold
miniature paintings. He said “you spend too much time on these.” He’s right. One
of my favorite definitions of “art” is “done well”. I still spend too much time
on these. BEES at Link & Pin Gallery, opening reception, Saturday, June 28….done
well.
The
bee has a bond and a history with humanity. Metaphors associated with this
insect speak to the needs for the future of this planet. I feed bees on my back
porch.
