FUN! FUN! FUN!....AND SCARY

New painting in progress is so much fun! Drawings, first. At least as big as the canvas.
54" tall by 36" wide.

Work a bit more and sit
and think. And doodle.

I don't know what this is exactly. A pump jack and dancers? I can edit later.

This time I drew on the canvas with vine charcoal.

I don't always draw with charcoal but sometimes I do.

I took it outside and photographed it by sunlight. It is about the same size but the detail and color is so much better.

I think I will name it ADAGIO.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR

Half of the Gallery Space
I need enough paintings for a one person exhibit at the Dougherty Art Center. My estimate is between 40 and 50 paintings and/or other artworks...like framed drawings. I have about 50 available BUT the works need to relate to each other or to the title somehow.

The Opening Reception for The Tie That Binds will be Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 7 to 9 PM.  Sunset will be at 4:54 PM that day so it will be after dark and who knows about the weather. Could be lovely or cold or stormy. No telling.

BARTON SPRINGS - NEW PAINTING

I am still fiddling with it but this is mostly finished. It is 14 inches tall and 50 inches wide.

This is a detail of the snorkeler in the sky.

The working title has been THE TIE THAT BINDS but now I think ON LOAN. The planet is on loan to us from our descendants.
