This painting is paid for and ready to ship. Portrait commissions are so often a problem unless the patron is a fan of your art, period. Such was the case for this painting. So I could relax into the painting, no harping little critic in my head. Just soar, dance and struggle with myself. I've never met this young woman but I did get a lot of photographs, snap shots, from her father to give a sense of different angles.

I finally got a good photograph of this little painting. I think subconsciously I didn't want a good picture, wanted to keep it off the Big Web. I do like to share. This country, this culture IS suffering from art starvation. Make More Art!
